Large families have often turned to the Chevy Suburban because of its size, comfortable cabin, and impressive technology. If you have a truckload of kids to transport to and from school and after-school activities, the Suburban will get it done. But which trim is right for you? Take a look and see.
Practical Benefits in the Entry-Level LS
One of the best things about the entry-level LS is it doesn’t look or feel like a base trim. You’ll get all of the benefits of a full-size SUV with a truck-based frame and a long list of standard features.
Power comes from a V-8 with 355 horsepower or a Duramax diesel with 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Inside, you’ll get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and three rows of comfortable seating.
Get More in the LT
The mid-level LT is a good place for most drivers to land. It has all the LS’s features and adds a hands-free power liftgate for easy access to the cargo area and upgrades to leather upholstery. The front seats are heated and the driver gets memory settings. There are also upgrades to the tech, including a larger 10.2-inch touchscreen.
A Sporty Suburban RST
The RST is about as sporty as you can get in a large SUV. It has 22-inch wheels and black exterior accents on the outside, while inside it has a Jet Black interior with perforated leather upholstery and bright red stitching.
Head Off the Beaten Path in the Z71
If you don’t want to stick to the roads, the Suburban Z71 is where you should land. It comes standard with four-wheel drive and adds a two-speed transfer case, hill descent control, and an upgraded air filter. All-terrain tires give you extra traction, and if you run into trouble, the recovery hooks will make it easier for your friends to get you out.
Go Upscale in the Premier
Turn up the luxury in the Premier trim. This Suburban looks nicer from the outside and adds more luxury on the inside. Polished alloy wheels and chrome trim are what makes this trim stand out, but it also has a dual exhaust and Magnetic ride control for a more luxurious ride.
Inside, you’ll find heated and ventilated seats, 12-way power-adjustable front seats, and heated second-row seats. If you need more cargo space, the power-folding third row makes expanding the storage area a breeze.
The Fully Loaded High Country
If you want everything in your Suburban, check out the High Country. This trim is fully loaded with every feature and gives you luxury accommodations. The upgraded leather upholstery, available panoramic sunroof, and power-retractable side steps are just the start. It also has a 15-inch head-up display, an HD surround vision camera, and you can get the adaptive air suspension to smooth out the already smooth ride.
